Read More » The June result is a significant increase from the 132,600 passengers flown by the group in the same month in 2021. “Robust demand for air travel in the mid-year holidays coupled with the start of the summer travel season has resulted in an exceptionally strong performance in June 2022,” SIA said. “This was across every region except East Asia where travel restrictions continue for certain points.” Capacity was 64% of pre-COVID-19 levels for the month. June passenger load factor for the group’s two airlines, Singapore Airlines and Scoot, measured 85.5%, the best combined result for the group since the outbreak of the pandemic.
