United Airlines delays start of Tokyo-Cebu to final quarter 2024

United Airlines (UA) has pushed back commencement of nonstop Tokyo Narita-Cebu by three months as a result of U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) oversight of its operations, an airline statement reported by local media said. Read More » UA had announced daily Narita-Cebu, to be flown with 737-800s, would be launched on July 31. The new date for the route’s commencement is October 27. The Star Alliance member also has shelved a proposed seasonal service from Newark to Faro planned from May to September this year. The FAA said it had commenced an evaluation of UA under the provisions of the certificate holder evaluation process.
