Scoot announces first Embraer operated routes

Singapore Airlines Group (SIA Group) LCC, Scoot, will deploy its E195-E2 fleet on six destinations across Malaysia and Thailand when the aircraft enter commercial service later this year. Read More » The Embraer jets will operate to Kuantan, Miri and Sibu in Malaysia and to Hat Yai, Krabi and Koh Samui in Thailand from Scoot’s’Singapore Changi home hub. Koh Samui and Sibu will be new destinations in the LCC’s network.

“Our fleet expansion reflects our confidence that the demand for air travel will continue to grow within this region,” Scoot CEO, Leslie Thng, said. “This marks a new chapter of growth for Scoot and the SIA Group and is a significant step in strengthening our presence and connectivity in the region.” Scoot will receive the first of its nine E195-E2s in April with a second of the type to be delivered to the LCC in May.
