Airbus beats 2023 annual delivery target

Read More » Speaking at the European OEM’s AGM, CEO Guillaume Faury said booked annual revenue was 65.4 billion euros (US$70.2 billion), an increase of 11% against 2022. But net income was lower, at 3.8 billion euros, compared with the previous year. Gross annual commercial aircraft orders were 2,319 compared with 1,078 a year earlier. Net orders after cancellations were 2,094 at December 31 with an order backlog of 8,598 commercial aircraft at the close of the reported year. “In 2023, we recorded strong order intake across all our businesses and we delivered on our commitments. This was a significant achievement given the complexity of the operating environment,” Faury said. Airbus is targeting delivery of about 800 commercial aircraft to customers in 2024, he said.
