EVA AIR reports 168% jump in July passengers

EVA Air's monthly traffic report states the Taiwanese carrier's passenger numbers increased to 154,055 in July from 57,370 in June. Read More » The monthly result was more than five times the 25,947 passengers EVA flew in the same period in 2021. The Star Alliance member recorded passenger revenue of TW$2.7 billion (US$90.2 million) for the 31 days, up 131.2% from the TW$1.2 billion booked in June and nearly triple the TW$911.4 million earned a year ago. From July, the Taiwan Central Epidemic Command Centre has been easing travel restrictions for certain categories of travellers to Taiwan. In pre-COVID July 2019, EVA flew 925,657 passengers and reported passenger revenue of TW$7.6 billion.
