Air New Zealand selects HAECO Vector seat for 787-9 economy cabins

Air New Zealand (AirNZ) has chosen HAECO Cabin Solutions Vector Economy seat for equipping the economy cabins of its 22 787-9s. Read More » In addition, AirNZ will install two seat models based on the Vector platform: the Skycouch that converts into a lie-flat bed and a stretched version with extra legroom. “We were really encouraged by HAECO in the way they approached our journey to think differently about how we could maximize the economy customer experience,” AirNZ head of aircraft programs, Kerry Reeves, said. HAECO’s Vector Economy seats are manufactured at HAECO Cabin Solutions in Greensboro, North Carolina. “We are honoured to collaborate with Air New Zealand and highly value them as a strategic partner of the HAECO Group,” HAECO Cabin Solutions president and group director, Doug Rasmussen, said. “Through the use of leading edge design principles and material selection, including composites and titanium, this seat achieves the dual goals of reduced weight and high durability.”
