Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China has announced the first C919 destined for an airline customer has completed its maiden flight. Powered by CFM International LEAP-1C engines, the narrow-body, registration B-001J, took off from Shanghai Pudong airport a little before 0700 local time on May 14 and returned to the international airport three hours later. Delivery to the launch customer of the type is expected by year-end.

India LCC, SpiceJet, and Axis Bank have launched a co-branded credit card as they "hope to capitalize on the resurgent demand for travel following two years of stagnation caused by the pandemic".
