India lifts ban on foreign registered 737 MAX overflights

India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said yesterday foreign registered 737 MAXs would be allowed to overfly Indian airspace, subject to permission. Read More » Foreign registered 737 MAXs grounded in India also would be allowed to perform operational readiness flights and ferry flights outside India, the DGCA said in a regulatory notice. The regulator has banned all 737 MAX operations to and from Indian airports, transit and over Indian airspace since March 13 2019, following two fatal crashes of the aircraft type that killed 346 people.
