Mark Dunkerley, the retired CEO of Hawaiian Airlines and board member of Spirit Airlines Inc., is to be put forward as a new non-executive director on the Airbus board at the company’s AGM on April 16. Read More »

A second proposed non-executive director is Stephan Gemknow, a director of Amadeus and a former airline executive of 22 years with Lufthansa, including six years as the airline group’s chief financial officer.

Airbus said in a statement it has a policy of staggered board terms where one third of its 12 directors are re-appointed or replaced every year to ensure a smooth transition and align the company with best practices.
