Boeing names Qantas executive as CIO and appoints new board members

Boeing has appointed Susan Doniz as chief information officer and senior vice president of information technology and data analytics. Read More » She will take up the role in May, succeeding Vishwa Uddanwadiker, who has been acting in the position since last October. Doniz has been group chief information officer at Qantas since 2017.

Earlier in the week, Boeing announced that Qualcomm chief executive, Steve Mollenkopf, and United Technologies Corporation chief financial officer, Akhil Johri, would replace retiring directors, Edward Liddy and Mike Zafirovski, on its board. Mollenkopf and Johri would be put forward for election to their new positions at the company's annual general meeting, due to be held in April.

At GECAS, the company has appointed Jonty Nel as executive vice president of its commercial aviation arm, effective from April this year. Based in Dubai, Nel will be responsible for GECAS’s commercial strategy in the Asia-Pacific, MAC, Europe, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean as well as leading the cargo and airline and fleet teams.
