COMMUNICATIONS: Global mobile satellite communications provider, Inmarsat, this month achieved the milestone of delivering one million free inflight broadband sessions to Air New Zealand (Air NZ) passengers with its GX Aviation solution. Read More » The higher take-up was recorded a year after the carrier switched to a free of charge model for its inflight broadband service.

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS: Travel technology provider, Sabre Corporation, and Google Cloud have agreed to a 10-year partnership to develop a marketplace for its airline, hospitality and travel agency customers. The three main initiatives are: integration of Sabre’s IT infrastructure into Google Cloud, employing Google Cloud data analytics tools to improve Sabre products and combine the abilities of the two companies to build larger market share.

MANUFACTURERS: GKN Fokker Elmo has agreed a contract to supply electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) for Boeing’s 777X.  The company produces wiring systems for Boeing’s 777, 737 and P-8A.
