The news this week that Singapore was working towards allowing quarantine-free travel by September was an encouraging sign nations were turning their attention to restarting international travel. The Singapore government said having 80% of its population vaccinated is one requirement for quarantine free travel with countries or regions that have the COVID-19 situation under control. Vaccination rates have been cited by a number of airlines this week as an important part of any recovery in the industry.
IndiGo CEO, Ronojoy Dutta, said India's vaccination rates suggested the country's COVID-19 third wave would be relatively flat, which will allow the LCC to return to 100% of pre-COVID-19 domestic capacity by year end 2021. Read More »
