UK High Court approves Malaysia Aviation Group’s restructuring of aircraft lessor debt

Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd (MAG), the holding company of Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB), said yesterday the UK High Court had approved a restructuring plan involving one of its leasing subsidiaries and the majority of aircraft operating lessors, local media reported. Read More » The court decision will allow the airline company to proceed with restructuring 16 billion ringgit (US$4 billion) of debt. Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund and sole shareholder of MAB, said it would commit up to 3.6 billion ringgit of fresh capital to the national carrier.
