CODE-SHARES: Fiji Airways and Finnair have agreed to a code-share that will place Finnair’s code on the Pacific carrier’s flights from Hong Kong, Singapore and Narita to Nadi and add the Fiji Airways code on Finnair flights to Helsinki from Singapore. Read More » Subject to government approvals, Finnair’s code will be added to the Nadi-headquartered airline’s flights from Fiji to San Francisco and Los Angeles.

AIRLINES: Etihad Airways and Air Arabia will establish an LCC, Air Arabia-Abu Dhabi, that will operate from the emirate’s international airport.

ENGINES: India’s newest international carrier, Vistara, has confirmed a US$2.4 billion order for 26 CFM Leap 1A engines that will power its 13 new A320neo. The deal includes a maintenance contract.

LOYALTY SOLUTIONS: Sabre Corporation announced this week that Vietnam Airlines is the first carrier in the Asia-Pacific to integrate its Sabre Dynamic Rewards into an airline loyalty program. The loyalty solution will provide an enhanced redemption experience for members of the carrier’s Lotusmiles.

ROUTES: Eastar Jet adds daily Incheon-Macau flights from November 1 and also Busan-Taipei from November 7. Vietnam Airlines will fly Hanoi-Macau from December 2019 with a daily service. Hainan Airlines will launch non-stop Lianyungang – Osaka Kansai on November 25. Next month, Cebu Pacific will expand its network from Clark to Guangzhou and Puerto Princesa, at four flights and daily, respectively. Singapore Airlines will increase Singapore-Seattle to five times a week from March 30, 2020. Malaysia Airlines will operate 10 times a week from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing Daxing from January 1, 2020.
